Lachlan Coote
Made his First Grade Debut in 2008
Coote was raised in the Greater West of Sydney, attended Windsor High School and is a junior product of the Windsor Wolves. A star performer at junior level, he has represented both New South Wales and Australian junior teams. After representing Australian Schoolboys and New South Wales Under-17s in 2007, Coote was selected in the New South Wales Under-18 side to play in the curtain raiser to Game Two of the 2008 State of Origin series, scoring an impressive 14 points in the Blues’ victory over Queensland. In 2008, Coote played for the Penrith Panthers in the inaugural season of the National Youth Competition. A clear stand out performer for the Panthers, Coote scored 138 points in 12 games before becoming a f ixture in the Panthers’ f irst grade team. Coote supplements his rugby league income by working as an apprentice greenkeeper at Centrebet Stadium. He is of Scottish descent.
